DALLAS ART FAIR
Booth G2
Fashion Industry Gallery
April 10 - 13, 2025
Perrotin is pleased to participate in Dallas Art Fair, marking our ten years of collaboration, with a selection of recent works by artists from the gallery’s roster: Nina Chanel Abney, Young-Il Ahn, Monira Al Qadiri, Jean-Marie Appriou, Iván Argote, Daniel Arsham, Genesis Belanger, Sophie Calle, Lynn Chadwick, Nick Doyle, Nancy Graves, Vivian Greven, Charles Hascoët, John Henderson, Leslie Hewitt, Nikki Maloof, Gabriel de la Mora, Takashi Murakami, Jean-Michel Othoniel, Paola Pivi, Gabriel Rico, Shim Moon-Seup, Emily Mae Smith, Josh Sperling, Kathia St. Hilaire, and Julia von Eichel.
Central to the booth, Emily Mae Smith's Gleaner with Sheaf draws inspiration from both her rural Texas childhood and the vibrant landscape of the Hudson River Valley, where she now resides. Her recurring broom figure is depicted here as a gleaner, a woman collecting leftover grain from the harvest, a traditional figure in 19th century painting which is being reinterpreted in an act of ownership and love.
Iván Argote will display Reflexions, Grab My Wrist, where the fragmentation of words is akin to an iconoclastic gesture aimed at political slogans, which have sometimes been used to instill anger and resentment, and can conversely refer to soft, tender words. This fall, Argote will be the artist in residence at the Augustus Owen Foundation. He will be preparing for his solo exhibition at Dallas Contemporary, opening in October 2025.
Additionally, we will highlight artists with upcoming exhibitions at Perrotin New York—Julia von Eichel in April, Gabriel Rico and Josh Sperling in June, as well as Leslie Hewitt, Sophie Calle, Monira al Qadiri, and Lynn Chadwick this fall—and, Young-Il Ahn at Perrotin Los Angeles.
