In the past, when planting rice, people sang songs, and outside the paddies, there were musical ensembles and dancing troupes.

Even today, the custom of welcoming the agricultural deity from the mountains and treating them with great care remains.

The act of cultivating crops was once filled with more festivity and sacredness than it is now, I believe.
